West End Transfer of Fame for 30th Anniversary!

Fame the Musical is celebrating the 30th anniversary of its debut, and what better place to perform than the Peacock Theatre in London’s West End!

The original production was first performed in Miami in 1988 and has been touring the UK to commemorate its 30th year of existence. Fame will have a short run at the Peacock, gracing the stage from 11 September to 19 October of 2019.

While the touring program has starred Mica Paris, Jorgie Porter, and Keith Jack, the cast for the London performance has not yet been announced, and details are expected to be released soon.

Fame at the Peacock Theatre

The Musical is based on the 1980 film Fame, which tells the story of students at the New York City High School of Performing Arts. The touching musical exhibits a series of emotions among the students, who all have lofty goals of attaining fame with their artistic abilities.

Some are dancers, others are actors, and still others are musicians, but they all have common goals and endearing friendships. The drama follows the lives and passions of the students, drawing the audience in with their young innocence and sincerity.

Fame will come to the Peacock Theatre in the autumn this year, and it promises to be a fantastic performance, no matter who joins the cast. It is presented by Selladoor productions who have also hosted tours of Footloose, Little Shop of Horrors, and Flashdance.
