Lloyd Webber promises that while the story is followed accurately, it will be modernized and provide plenty of fresh new dialogue and twists to keep the crowd mesmerized from the start. He says that the musical process is rolling along, with the songs being written, composed, and performed quickly among him and his collaborators. He expects the score for his updated version of Cinderella to be completed by the end of the year.

Taking after his idols Rodgers and Hammerstein, who first adapted Cinderella to the musical realm, Lloyd Weber hopes to draw inspiration from that classic while making the production his own. Whether this will be made for tv or stage remains to be seen, but Lloyd Webber says his heart is on the stage and that he’s aiming for a live production. In any case, we know that he has the chops to put together a fantastic musical, and we are looking forward to seeing his adaptation of this classic fairytale.
